I, not much of a reader, loved a series of books when I was younger that completely engulfed my imagination and ignited me with laughter. My favorite memories of reading were spent with the beloved series of "Amelia Bedelia" books, written by Peggy Parish. Parish had a silly way of confusing household chores and activities, that as a kid, I could connect with and respond to. I spent many hours reading and rereading these books and sharing my experiences with my friends and family.
These books were so important to me, that I have kept them safe and sound for future use with my own children one day. As I look back, I remember the silly mistakes being dealt with patience and kindness, characteristics I hope to encompass as a future teacher and mother. "Amelia Bedelia" books are filled with important messages of morals and values, that I am now better able to appreciate.
These books are meant for children ages 4-8.
There are over 20 different books in the series.
